CAR SHOW GENERAL INFO
- The date – July 17 with a raindate of July 31
- Our usual “May” date was moved forward for 2
reasons…one, the chance of better weather and two, this gives us more time
to prepare and give out flyers at other car shows prior to ours.
- The location is at the Schererville Buddy & Pal’s on
30.
- This show will be in conjuction with M&M, Buddy & Pals
and White’s Pitstop (also located in that same strip mall).
- Once again, it is strictly Corvettes and Chevys.
- “People’s Choice” is the best way to go for judging.
And as before, our club members will not be included in the judging.
- Along with our usual classes, we will be adding one more
this year. A “Drag Class”.
- White’s Pitstop and Buddy & Pals are working the local
businesses around there for donations for our show (gift cards most likely for
our door prizes)
- There are 3 main food places in that mall…Bronkos, Taste
of Europe, and Tylers Tender. Talks are underway to have them setup up food
areas outside. In exchange they will most likely donate a portion of the
proceeds or at least donate some gift cards towards our cause.
- There are 2 “kids” type businesses in that mall as well.
I believe they will have a bouncy moon walk type thing and M&M is having a Big Wheel Race for the kids with prizes donated by him and Tylers Tender Railroad Restaurant and arcade.
- We went with the DJ who usually works the Buddy & Pals
cruise nights. He gave us a fair price, not much more than our past DJ.
Our Charity for our car show will be the NWI Food Pantry.
This was decided by a vote at our April meeting.
